I am a grandmother paddling alone over 2,500 miles from Maine to Guatemala. Along the way I will be:
- telling the story of the children who live in the Guatemala City garbage dump community
- honoring their entrepreneurial mothers
- talking about the success of the Safe Passage model school and
- raising funds for additional grades for the school.

Paddle Day 23: What a difference a day makes!

Terns at sea.

Another Expedition about to reach it's final goal!

Eric Larsen and Ryan Waters are skiing pulling their sleds, even swimming at times, for an unsupported expedition from Ellesmere Island to the North Pole.  You can follow the final push to the pole by the Last North Expedition at:
http://www.ericlarsenexplore.com/expedition/maps/current

They are using the Delorme inReach satellite communication system to automatically generate these maps.  We will do the same for the Kayak For Safe Passage Kids expedition.
