I am a grandmother paddling alone over 2,500 miles from Maine to Guatemala. Along the way I will be:
- telling the story of the children who live in the Guatemala City garbage dump community
- honoring their entrepreneurial mothers
- talking about the success of the Safe Passage model school and
- raising funds for additional grades for the school.

Canoe and Kayak Paddle with Purpose Nomination - Vote for us!

Down East Magazine Best of 2015 Award

We were thrilled to be the editor's choice for the Best Adventurer on a Mission, for the Down East Best of 2015 awards.  They said the Down East editors went through a rigorous selection process where Kayak for Safe Passage Kids was chosen as top in its category.
